Wedding season is fully underway in Canada (lucky you!).
Typically, the most popular months to tie the knot in Canada are June thru October. These can also be the most expensive months if you happen to know a lot of people getting married.
A new survey from Tendr in the U.S. tracked just how much people spent on a wedding gift last year (cash or otherwise) and the average was: $160.
Summer weddings had the highest average gift at $174. Winter weddings had the lowest at $147.
Wedding Bells Magazine says in 2015, the average cost of a Canadian wedding was just over $30,000.
Is cash still king? Do couples need physical gifts anymore or is it an exercise in futility?
